Moto trip to Austria – Going Home

As soon as I thought all challenges in this trip are over – mother nature found a way to surprise us… Passing through the mountains to our car location in Czechia a big storm came up. And to make the matters worse – we were on the top of the mountain when it hit the hardest. Our crew got split up, trying to get into rain suits, one went full throttle to jump the storm so at some point I had to power through the heavy rain/lightning and thunder alone… It was so close and loud I thought something exploded near by. 2 of us stayed there to wait-out the storm so we had to do an unpanned night stop. Nothing that whiskey and beer couldn’t fix 😀 Next day some of us decided “we had enough of these mountains” and went the highway route, others tortured themselves a little bit more 🙂 So after nearly 4000 km and 8 days of fun the Austria trip is over.
